Mader Ranches is a family run purebred cattle operation, located only 10 minutes west of Carstairs, AB. Our focus is on raising functional cattle with easy fleshing ability and natural muscle expression. We are always sourcing for herd improvement through new genetics and a hard culling system. We have an extensive AI and embryo program that we utilize to create uniformity and quality. We sell females, embryos, and semen privately off the farm and in fall consignment sales. Our bulls are held until late February for our own Bull Sale selling approx 60 bulls and a handful of select females.

Randy and Ronda have been in the cattle industry for 37 years raising Salers and Simmental Cattle. They raised three kids on the family farm, and now enjoy spending time with their grandchildren! They are first generation to this farm where they take great pride in having established most of our own genetics, and acquired most of the land mass the farm is operated on. Randy is very active within many breed and cattle associations and he and Ronda have traveled to many country’s across the world selling our genetics and meeting people. As in most families, Ronda (momma bear) is the hub of the operation and keeps us all in line!

Ryley and Jill and their daughter Stella, work together with Randy and Ronda to run the daily operations and business. Their focus to the operation is on the Simmental genetics, where they are very active in associations, shows, and sales. Ryley is full time on the farm, and Jill is the Canadian representative for Liveauctions.tv, the number one source for live internet bidding.
